Last summer I took a road trip to Detroit to check out all the locations in Book 1. It was a blast although when I was taking pics in Calli's neighborhood...I definitely got some very odd looks....like who is this creeper taking pictures of my house.

So I am off to scout my new locations so I can add some final details to Book
2. Some of the action is going to take place in the old Mansions in Detroit-

-most of which are open for tours, so my road trip will be a little more safe than checking out abandoned factories and buildings. I also lost my phone last time, so I hoping no repeat performance of that disaster.

Wish me luck friends--definitely getting to be the home stretch for Book 2!

Good luck and have fun in Detroit! Thanks for the info of Thrace Stacey! I am glad to hear that. Is there any chance that we get to find out about his 21 steps? I am really curious to those answers and what the rest of it entailed. :)

That idea came from a pretty funny conversation I had with my BFFs in college. I think we came up with 21 steps--most likely because that was our age at the time--I thought it was funny so I added it to the book--I didn't know if I could remember all 21, but I knew Thrace wasn't going to make it that far, so I didn't have much to worry about it:)

Was the last one a proposal of marriage? I did wonder if he would have done that.

No, but that would have been a good one:) Thrace definitely has some growing up to do first. You'll get to seem him as her best friend like he use to be in Book 2 and 3.

I am hoping to finish it off in July and have to my editor by the end of July, so I can have the critique copy out by August--I never knew the middle book would be so complicated to make sure it aligns with 1st and 3rd books!!

Good. I bet that he was a really good best friend. I married mine but they are not always the best ones to date. I had two other guys that were my best friends that I tried to date but it was no good, we remained friends until I befriended my now husband. :)

I am definitely glad that there are no hard feelings in the end. I thought that he was immature for Calli but normal for a teenage senior, in my experience. LOL but I did think that was a good one. I only saw a proposal of marriage being the only way that she would do that with Thrace. :) I can not wait for number 2. I was hoping before August..LOL..all of the books that I am waiting for come out in August!! I can believe that writing a middle book would be difficult if you already have number 3 plotted and planned!! Good luck!! Oh, and have fun in Detroit!

Back from the mansion and estate tours in Detroit with the old Packard Plant thrown in....didn't get to spend nearly enough time at all the estates except the Edsel and Eleanor Ford Estate which has some pretty cool secret doors in Edsel's study that will definitely be used in the story. On Sunday, I spent so much time at Cranbrook that I missed the tour at Meadow Brook Hall so that was a bust until I realized that most of the estates I visited on my trip were featured in 1 episode of America's Castle that I could buy for $25......I think I would have felt a little robbed because the trip cost a lot more than $25, but I met a really sweet guy on my tour of Eleanor and Edsel's estate....so I'll call it even....

well, how can you go wrong when you find a sweet guy? So I assume the trip was okay then? Guess what, my ereader got broken because my great nephew, 18 months, peed on it! My sis in law didn't have a diaper on him and I didn't know it. He went right on my purse which had my e reader sitting on top of it. Anyway, so now hopefully, I can get a new one in time to for your new release.

Sorry for the delay Krystin....and everyone I am making wait!! My summer has been crammed--however, it should slow down after this weekend. I organized a charity golf event, and it is over on Saturday--hopefully with lots of money going to help individuals battling cancer. I literally have a writing schedule after that and my editor will be back in the country. I might start posting sample chapters as she is helping me edit. Hope everyone has had a great summer!

When I was about 12, one of my plane friends (I am talking about you Mindy) and I put pen to paper and created our very first story. Unfortunately, we buried it in a time capsule that I have never been able to find again:( But I loved creating and going to places that I hadn't gotten to experience in my small town. This is what also attracted to me to my life long passion for reading.
